Home to glitz and glamour, Hollywood is renowned for its entertainment industry, A-list spots and annual Oscar Academy Awards. Hollywood is arguably the heart of the rich and famous, and ultimate glamorous lifestyle, making a simple trip to a café ever so much more alluring. The city has been witness to the making of films such as Humphrey Bogart’s ‘Casablanca’ and the famous ‘Great Escape’, as well as once the home town to Frank Sinatra and Howard Hughes. Now home to the rich and famous of today, with the destination attracts movie moguls and people who want to fulfil the American dream from all over the globe, Hollywood is a travel destination not to be missed.

A district within LA, Hollywood was founded as an independent city within the 1900’s, with the Nestor Company opening Hollywood’s first film studio soon after. From then on a vast amount of people decided to set their movies within Hollywood. The world renowned Fox Film Foundation and Paramount where established within the city in the early 1900’s making Hollywood the platform for entertainment for the next century. The city is full of historic entertainment and showbiz spots, as well as restaurants situated on Sunset Strip of which historical actresses and actors like Charlie Chaplin dined at frequently, yet celebrity spotting today is inevitable. Sunset strip is also home to The Roosevelt Hotel which has been a playground for Hollywood stars since it opened. The city also has vast amounts of shopping locations from designer to high end mainstream shops within Melrose Avenue as well as Hollywood and Highland. Yet overlooking tinsel town’s shops, restaurants and hotels, the Hollywood sign stands upon the Hollywood hills. Having once spelt out Hollywoodland and originally was set to overlook Hollywood for just a year, the iconic sign is nearly a century old and famous across the globe, attracting a number of visitors each year.

Hollywood is a city which is home to iconic films and legendary stars both past and present, with the streets having been the setting to many blockbusters and the pavements having been walked upon by world renowned stars. Not only is there plentiful sights to see, but the Hollywood lifestyle is just as attractive. Hollywood is a unique and enchanting location which brings fiction to reality, and dreams to life.
