WMS provides corporate, fiduciary, company secretarial, liquidation and accounting services to a client base comprising many of the world's largest blue-chip private equity firms, hedge fund managers and global financial institutions. The sale will allow Walkers to focus on its core legal business, providing legal services across its global practice groups that include investment funds, finance, corporate trusts, litigation and insolvency.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval in the British Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands.
