Private healthcare giant Bupa UK has agreed a deal to acquire The Regent Building at MediaCityUK.

Private healthcare giant Bupa UK has agreed a deal to acquire The Regent Building at MediaCityUK.

The 145,000 sq ft office building, which is still under construction, will act as Bupa’s regional headquarters when completed.

Bupa pre-let the MediaCityUK office building last year, signing a 15-year lease for the entire scheme in February 2015. The company has now decided to fully acquire the site, with law firm Nabarro advising Bupa on the deal.

The Nabarro team was led by real estate partner Mark Haywood, assisted by partner Chris Hallam, who led on construction and infrastructure related issues.

Haywood says: “We were delighted to act for Bupa on the acquisition of its new regional headquarters in Manchester.

“We look forward to providing support throughout the development and construction of the site.”

The Peel Group, which owns MediaCityUK, was represented by Addleshaw Goddard.
