Simon Romano is a partner practising in securities, public and private M&A, private equity and corporate finance in Stikeman Elliott’s Toronto office. Mr. Romano advises domestic and international corporations and dealers in friendly and hostile take-overs, mergers, corporate finance and governance and securities enforcement matters, as well as private equity and hedge funds, real estate investment trusts and alternative trading systems. His clients include public companies, underwriters and private equity funds. From 1995-1996, he was seconded to the OSC as special counsel and he is a former member of its Securities Advisory Committee. He was formerly a clerk to the Supreme Court of Canada.
