Heather M. Ignoffo is an associate in the Chicago office of Barnes & Thornburg and is a member of the firm's Litigation Department. Ms. Ignoffo focuses her practice on complex litigation matters including toxic torts, product liability, and other matters involving catastrophic injury and death. Ms. Ignoffo has over six years of experience in asbestos personal injury litigation wherein she has represented various product manufacturers and distributors, premises owners, engineers, government contractors, insulating contractors, and fiber suppliers.
Ms. Ignoffo graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Ms. Ignoffo earned her J.D. from The John Marshall Law School, where she was a Moot Court Associate Justice. During her law school studies, Ms. Ignoffo had the opportunity to participate in a Federal Judicial Externship under the Honorable Ronald. A. Guzman, and studied abroad in Nice, France, where she focused on International Product Liability and International Constitutional Law under the direction of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Scalia.
Ms. Ignoffo was recognized as an Illinois "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers in 2012. Having practiced law for less than a decade, Ms. Ignoffo is one of only 2.5% of lawyers on the list that have been practicing less than 10 years.
Ms. Ignoffo is admitted to practice in the state of Illinois and in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
