João joined the Lisbon office of Uría Menéndez – Proença de Carvalho in 2008 as a trainee lawyer, and become a junior associate in 2010 and a senior associate in 2013.

During his early collaboration with the office João worked in the Finance and M&A, and the Public Law and Projects departments.

João advises on both private and public law, including general administrative law, environmental law, public contracts and litigation.

João mainly advises both public and private clients in the negotiation and implementation of public-private partnerships and in issues related to public procurement and projects in regulated sectors such as electricity, natural resources and infrastructures.
