My name is Stuart Gilgannon.  I am originally from Edinburgh, the beautiful Capital City of Scotland.  I arrived in the United States at the age of seventeen to pursue a soccer scholarship at a small college in Georgia.  After two years, I transferred to Cardinal Stritch University in Fox Point, Wisconsin, where I continued to play soccer before receiving my Bachelors degree in 2003.  It was also there that I met my now-wife, Michelle and decided to settle permanently in the United States and pursue a career in the legal profession. 

My experience as an international student in the United States truly opened my eyes to the incredible opportunities and increased quality of life this country offers for those willing to work hard to pursue their dreams and those of their family.  I was fortunate enough to become teammates and friends with many other international students from around the world.  It was hearing stories of their experiences growing up in developing countries - in some cases amidst civil war and severe poverty - that inspired me to assist my fellow immigrants, as well as small business owners seeking to hire qualified workers, in navigating the complex and often intimidating processes that must be overcome in order to obtain legal status in the United States.  I treat all immigration matters as if they were my own, as I know from personal experience the strong personal and emotional connection associated with the immigration process.
