Jeff Civins is partner in the Austin office of Haynes and Boone, LLP and an adjunct professor at the University of Texas School of Law and a member of the advisory board of its Energy Center.  Jeff has practiced all aspects of environmental law since 1975, assisting clients in compliance matters, transactions, and litigation.  Jeff is co-editor of the Thomson Reuters treatise on Texas Environmental Law, a fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers, a former chair of the Environmental Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, and standing chair of its Annual Texas Environmental Superconference.  Jeff received an AB in chemistry from Brandeis University, an MS in chemistry from Penn State, and a JD from UT.  Prior to law school, Jeff taught science in schools in New York City.
