Harold L. Kaplan is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP. He, among other things, is the leader of the firm's Corporate Trust and Bondholders Rights Team and is a member of the firm's Bankruptcy & Business Reorganizations Practice

Mr. Kaplan was named one of 12 outstanding bankruptcy lawyers in the country in 2005-2003, and one of 13 in 2001, by Turnarounds & Workouts magazine.  He is recognized as one of Chambers USA's 2006-2013 "Leaders in their Field" for bankruptcy, and has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2007 in the specialties of bankruptcy and creditor-debtor rights law, corporate law, and bankruptcy litigation.  In 2010-2013, the Legal 500 recognized Mr. Kaplan for his work in corporate restructuring.

Mr. Kaplan, among other positions is a past chair of the American Bar Association Health Care and Nonprofits in Bankruptcy Subcommittee; and past chair of the American Bar Association Committee on Trust Indentures and Indenture Trustees, as well as having  served as a member of the editorial board of the American Bankers Association Trust and Investments magazine.
