Sangeetha practices intellectual property litigation and prosecution with a focus on trademark and copyright law. Since her call to the Ontario Bar in 2004, she has appeared as counsel before the Federal Court, the Ontario Court and the Supreme Court of Canada in a variety of intellectual property matters.  She is also a registered trademark agent and has an active prosecution and opposition practice.

Sangeetha has experience in all aspects of intellectual property litigation, ranging from pre-litigation opinions to appeals before the Supreme Court of Canada. She has worked with counsel in various jurisdictions to co-ordinate the Canadian part of multi-jurisdictional lawsuits.

Sangeetha presently serves as Chair of the Copyright Policy Committee of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC) and sits on the Editorial Board of the Intellectual Property Journal published by Federated Press.  She is also an active member of the International Trademarks Association (Publicity Rights Committee), the American Bar Association, the Toronto Intellectual Property Group, and the Canadian Bar Association. Sangeetha has also presented and contributed several articles on intellectual property issues to various publications and continuing legal education seminars.

Sangeetha received her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2003. She has a background in molecular biology and physiology, and graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.Sc. degree in 2000.
