Alexander Koff, a partner in WTP's Baltimore office, co-chairs the firm's International Practice.  His practice focuses on international business transactions, litigation and arbitration, government investigations, and regulatory issues, with a particular emphasis on international trade and the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights.  Mr. Koff serves as general counsel to U.S. companies and foreign subsidiaries in the United States, and he serves as special counsel to other lawyers on international issues. 

Mr. Koff counsels clients across a number of industries and technologies.  His work spans most of the world, including Asia, Europe, Africa and South America.  His clients range from entrepreneurs to large, publicly-traded corporations.  He also advises governments on implementation and enforcement of international obligations.  His experience covers all aspects of international law.

One of only 254 lawyers in the world selected for the International Who’s Who of Trade & Customs Lawyers, Mr. Koff was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to the Maryland/Washington, D.C. District Export Council and by the Governor of Maryland to the state’s International Advisory Council.  He also serves on the board of Jhpiego, the international non-profit health organization affiliated with Johns Hopkins University.
