Aegis Media Netherlands' position strengthened with agreement to acquire Kobalt Media

Aegis Group plc ("Aegis"), one of the world's leading media and digital marketing communications groups, today announces that it has signed an agreement to acquire the assets and contracts of the Dutch media agency Kobalt Media B.V. ("Kobalt").  At the beginning of October 2011 Kobalt had gross assets of €18.9 million.

Kobalt was established in 1974 and since then has built its reputation working with some of the Netherlands' principal advertisers. It is the largest independent media planning and buying agency in the Netherlands and has a diverse client list including international brands C&A and Perfetti Van Melle and local advertisers Delta Lloyd Ohra and retailer C1000.

Kobalt will be acquired from DHG Holding BV. The transaction will strengthen Aegis Media's market position and is expected to generate the benefits of greater scale.
