Clarksons, the world's leading shipping services group, is pleased to announce that through its port services business, Clarkson Port Services ("CPS") it has acquired EnShip Ltd ("EnShip"), the Aberdeen based shipping agency and marine industry logistics specialist.

Since its formation in 2004, EnShip has earned an enviable reputation as a vessel agency within the UK, as well as being a provider of related support services to both its UK customers and worldwide client base. EnShip also encompasses Opex Industrial Supplies, a procurement house supplying the marine, oil and gas industries.

As part of CPS, EnShip will continue to build on its successful growth strategy, leveraging the Clarkson network to further expand and develop the business. It will continue to trade under the EnShip brand, with EnShip's existing owners Donald Grant, James Braid and Innes Cameron joining the board of CPS.  Opex will continue to be managed by David Rodman.

The acquisition complements CPS' strategy to expand its geographical reach and broaden its services to existing and new customers in bulk shipping and the offshore and renewable industries.

Gross assets acquired amounted to £3.0m.
