Cybersecurity firm InfoTeK of Hanover acquires SilverRhino

InfoTeK Corp., a Hanover-based cybersecurity firm, announced Friday it acquired the assets of SilverRhino LLC, a Columbia cybersecurity firm that specializes in information technology services for federal agencies..

SilverRhino, a woman and veteran-owned small business, does work for the Department of Defense, Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security and commercial clients. InfoTeK did not disclose a purchase price.

InfoTeK said it made the acquisition to expand its market in the cybersecurity field. The addition fits into plans to offer more products that help organizations monitor the risk of insider threats, the company said.

"Acquiring the talent from SilverRhino allows us to more effectively service our clients," said Jacky Kimmel, CEO of InfoTek, in the announcement. "This move ensures ITK can provide exceptional cybersecurity services long into the future."
