UHY win at Corporate LiveWire Finance Awards

UHY Hacker Young’s Manchester-based automotive team has been named Motor Trade & Transport Advisory Team of the Year at the 2017 Corporate LiveWire Finance Awards.

The aforementioned awards program selects winners based on their achievements and strengths in the Financial Services, Tax and Accountancy sectors over the last 12 months.

During 2016 UHY’s automotive team were involved in 33% of announced deals in the sector. Highlights were their work with shareholders of Warwick Holdings Limited t/a Drayton Group on the sale of their business to Lookers plc, for £55.4 million in cash. They also advised on Vertu Motors’ acquisition of Gordon Lamb Ltd for £18.7 million and the sale of Perrys’ Land Rover and Jaguar dealerships to the Rybrook Group for an undisclosed amount.
