Prior to becoming a solicitor, he worked in the transport industry throughout the UK and Europe, heading up a small team in the Czech Republic

Since working as a transport solicitor, he has worked for various types of clients: from private individuals and professional drivers, to small haulage companies and right up to major international haulage firms.

He provides talks to operators on road transport law and Operator Licensing, including appearing at the UK Concrete Show to discuss legislation changes. He wrote the legal content for the Heavy Transport Association’s 30th Anniversary Yearbook and the UK Haulier website. He is also regularly quoted in Commercial Motor magazine.

Additionally, he has been involved in discussions with the Department for Transport, DVSA and various Members of Parliament over the implementation of forthcoming European legislation. He has also advised clients on appearing before the Transport Select Committee.

Jared advises on all aspects of transport compliance and operator licensing and defending prosecutions the DVSA (formerly VOSA) and the Police. He acts as an advocate at Public Inquiry hearings where he has an enviable success rate at Public Inquiries. Jared not only assists our transport clients with their contentious requirements but also in managing their Operator’s Licences.

He is the co-ordinator of a national trade association (BSA) for operators of mobile batching plant.
