Olugboyega Kayode is the Managing Partner of David Garrick, Kayode & Co., a Commercial Law Firm with extensive experience in intellectual property laws. The firm is one of the pioneers in intellectual property practice in Nigeria and has been active in this area since its establishment in 1960.

He obtained his Bachelor and Master of Laws (LL. B and LL. M) Degrees from the University of London in 1968 and 1969 respectively. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1972 and has since worked as a private legal practitioner specialising in intellectual property, corporate and tax laws.

He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, International Bar Association, International Trademark Association, Institute of Trade Marks Attorney and Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group amongst others.

Olugboyega Kayode, an experienced teacher, has trained a generation of successful intellectual property practitioners in Nigeria who are in independent private practices.
