Zia is a passionate and result-driven facilitator with more than 12 years of experience working in MNCs. He has an adaptable, practical and positive approach to finding solutions for each learner’s needs. He has delivered close to 900 workshops covering approximately 16,000 professionals; focusing primarily on leadership, managerial and sales effectiveness.
Zia started his career as Unit Manager in ICICI Prudential & subsequently assumed a leadership role in its Training & Development department. In 2008 he joined Max New York Life Insurance and implemented training interventions for sales teams of YES Bank, AXIS Bank & DST. He has been associated with clients like L&T Insurance, WHO, HT Media and Matrix cellular and has been instrumental in facilitating sales & effectiveness workshops across levels and functions. He has expertise in analyzing data for sales driven organizations which invariably results enhanced productivity levels.
Zia is an MBA graduate with dual specialization in Human Resource & Marketing. He has a certification in LUTCF from American College, Licentiate from Insurance Institute of India, NCFM, AMFI, Master Trainer for IRDA certifications and is also a Mentor for ISTD programs.
Zia Abbas has a keen interest in wildlife photography and once in a while tries to hone his ‘shooting’ skills. He is fond of good food, swimming & travelling, not necessarily in the same order
