John is the Director in charge of Webber Wentzel's forensic investigations unit within its Dispute Resolution Practice Group.

A chartered accountant by profession, he was at the forefront of establishing one of the first forensic investigation practices in the private sector in South Africa in the early 1990's and he has considerable experience in investigating some of the largest white collar frauds committed in South Africa and other parts of Africa.  He has acted as an expert witness in numerous criminal and civil cases in South Africa in his field of specialisation; large, complex financial service industry frauds and irregularities; and auditor negligence cases.  He is an experienced practitioner in winding up failed financial institutions.
