Bettina Knoetzl is head of the firm-wide Dispute Resolution Practice Group. She specializes in international and commercial litigation with a focus on financial services and life science industry, investors' protection, liability claims (including professional negligence), and business crime, such as corruption, fraud and violation of stock exchange rules, for instance insider-trading. She regularly represents clients in high-profile litigation matters in both civil and criminal court. She also advises national and multinational clients regarding internal investigations, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and UK-Bribery Act investigations, and regarding the prevention of business crime by implementing proper compliance systems. Bettina is the current President of the Austrian Chapter of Transparency International and the Austrian representative for the ICC FraudNet. She is also the Vice-Chair of the Litigation Committee of the International Bar Association. Bettina, herself a registered mediator ("eingetragener Mediator"), enthusiastically promotes mediation as a part of her alternative dispute resolution practice.
